Fall in the City | What I Wore

A few outfits that I’m absolutely obsessed with lately all have included a good, healthy mix of old and new. If you ever bump into me around Toronto, you’ll most likely find me in at least one thrifted item. Lately, I’ve been eyeing cozy sweaters, wool and corduroy textures.

The first outfit shows my new frame denim! I just got them on sale at Intermix after seeing one of my good friends getting them. I’ll admit it – they were definitely a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. I’m so excited to style them for events and dressier occasions. This day, I decided to sport them with a coordinating white denim cropped jacket that I picked up while in Barcelona, along with a comfy Aritzia knit. I know all-white looks aren’t exactly ideal for the fall/winter time – but I have a feeling that this is a look I can make work all year round.

Next look – soo obsessed with this! It’s like Indiana Jones takes Toronto. Dylan and I went to a coffee shop in the west end to do some work. This Brixton hat is from my Princess Polly haul, and I decided to wear it with my trusty Blundstone boots. When it comes to the Blundstones, I prefer the chisel toe over the round toed ones – I find them just slightly more polished. The sweater and the khaki pants are both thrifted items! Some of my fave treasures from Value village. To finish it off, I’mcarrying a super ornate bag that I got on sale from – Anthropologie.

Third ‘fit called for grey. It was a rainy day so I decided to wear my Massimo Dutti cowboy boots – they really look like these super-expensive Dior ones that are on the market right now (for of course, the fraction of the price!). The billowy sleeves make the look a bit more interesting, and I also threw on a matching beret. Such a fun, cheeky look even though it has a neutral colour palette!

This was from another rainy day in Toronto. Dylan and I were running around Yorkville. This dark green Zara coat is my latest Zara find – along with my TopShop Jamie flares! I love the original Jamie jeans, but I almost love these more. Completed the look with my mom’s old Gucci belt.

It really feels like true fall in Toronto now – and I’m pumped to be experimenting with a few new looks before it gets too cold! What is your fave fall trend?

Love Always,

Rach
